The protagonist Aakash, who is accused in a bank robbery is chased by the local police of Rajapur. While he is innocent and just a scapegoat in a honey-trap by influential people, he moves around the place in a rogue, trying to save his life. Meanwhile, there is a shooter, an anonymous man who wants to kill Aakash.  There is also a case of Dr. Chawla who is accused of sexual assault, only that he pleads himself innocent. Amidst all the crimes and cases, Aakash meets a ravishing and an intelligent girl Madhuleena, and falls in love with her. The book has vivid such feelings, thoughts, sorrows, longing as well as the momentary joys that make living worthwhile. These are well expressed in form of 33 poems. 🌟 What is my take on this? He goes out of his way to distract the detectives and keep them from knowing the truth. He tampers the exact situation in a way, that it raises many questions in the mind of lead detective Kusanagi. When he is perplexed with it, he approaches Yukawa, a physicist and another genius. His rational ways of problem-solving are described wonderfully. It  turns out that Yukawa knows Ishigami from his college days, and he used to call him 'Buddha' back then. Will he be able to uncover the truth? 🌟 What is my take on this? This is my first novel by the author and I must say I am very much enticed and would love to read more of his books, especially when it is about Japanese literature. The brain has two segments; the conscious mind that is logical and the subconscious mind that is unaware, and holds the feelings, memories, experiences that happened at some point of time. The 'iceberg' principle also states the same. The subconscious is deeper, and intense area which needs to be honed and understood. It is also referred to the 'left' and 'right' of the brain - one based on analytics and the other based on creatives.   Book :  Aimless in Banaras Author :  Bishwanath Ghosh The enigma of life and death is still unknown to human kind. The wanderer and author 'Bishwanath' is also intrigued with the happy vibes and the beliefs of the people living in Banaras, also called "Kashi". For them, Death is inevitable and it is natural. There is vivid description of ghats like Dashashwamedh, Assi, Darbhanga and so on. The lanes of the city holds many stories and the whiff of air holds the legacy and culture. Author is trying to understand them and live by them. He mentions that people there are detached from materialistic demands and are content. The author is moved by Manikarnika ghat as he witnesses the cremation of his mother there. But, gradually accepts that this is a reality from which no one can escape.  🌟 What is my take on this? Book :  A Face In The Dark Author :  Ruskin Bond  The book is a supernatural anthology with a collection of 28 different stories.  🌟 What is my take on this? The writing style is marvelous, as it playfully strikes the imagination and at times also stuns the reader. While I adore many of his other books, this one met my expectations as well. It reminded me of his other book 'Ghost Stories Of Shimla Hills'. His take on the supernatural world, the narration is enchanting. My favorite stories: ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ 1. The vision 2. Wilson's bridge 3. Topaz 4. On fairy hill ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ 🌟 What are my thoughts on the title and cover? The title is catchy, the cover is intriguing, basically depicts a shadow. 🌟 What'd be one thing that’s most captivating? I am amazed with the short stories and the way the writer captivates the attention. Besides, it's written in easy language, and can be read by all age groups. It's a great read, highly recommended.   Book :  Yakshini Author :  Neil D'Silva The book belongs to a mythological, supernatural genre based on the life of a girl Meenakshi. She is not like her other 6 sisters, there is something different, strange and weird about her. As she grows to her adolescence, she begins to feel the change in her demeanor and so does her parents. A very beautiful girl, mystical and mysterious is obnoxious to men around her. If they have lecherous intentions for her, she leaves them into shards. The story highlights many such bizarre incidents.  🌟 What is my take on this? The narration is good, and a great use of diction and language. While, most of the plot is an easy and a predictable read, I liked the story that forms the basis and the reason behind it all. 🌟 What are my thoughts on the title and cover?
