Book Review #10 - Salvation Of A Saint

Book : Salvation Of A Saint

Author : Keigo Higashino

Blurb:

Yoshitaka , is poisoned by arsenic-laced coffee and dies. His wife, Ayane, is the logical suspect—except that she was hundreds of miles away when he was murdered. The lead detective, Tokyo Police Detective Kusanagi, is immediately smitten with her and refuses to believe that she could have had anything to do with the crime. His assistant, Kaoru Utsumi, however, is convinced Ayane is guilty. While Utsumi’s instincts tell her one thing, the facts of the case are another matter. So she does what her boss has done for years when stymied—she calls upon Professor Manabu Yukawa.

🌟What is my take on this?

This is my second novel by the author and another masterpiece. It is highly intriguing and keeps you engaged. The plot and narration is brilliant. Although, the story had the truth revealed in itself, so "what" and "who" was pretty evident. But, it was still a mystery on the "how" of the murder. The motive is strong and the storyline is very well expressed, the emotions can be felt within.
I loved the character of Ayane. I extremely loved the genius physicist, Yukawa.

🌟What are my thoughts on the title and cover?

The cover is very appealing and the title is apt.

🌟What'd be one thing that’s most captivating?

This one is must-read for 'thriller' genre lovers.
